Ce nouvel exercice est destiné à aiguiser votre compréhension des variations de saturation et de luminosité des couleurs qui suivent des changements d’orientation de la lumière.
Choisissez une orange, une pomme et une banane. Disposez-les pour en faire une nature morte, au-dehors,par soleil brillant sur une surface telle que vous puissiez vous déplacer tout autour.
Photographiez le matin ou le soir lorsque le soleil est bas et illumine votre sujet de côté.
Approchez-vous suffisamment pour avoir un gros plan sur lequel vous mettez soigneusement au point.
Prenez d’abord une vue avec l’éclairage de pleine face, bien égal, à la bonne exposition, puis deux vues de sécurité, un diaphragme de plus et de moins.
Déplacez-vous ensuite pour être à 45° des rayons de soleil qui tombent sur votre sujet, et recommencez à photographier comme précédemment.
Puis avec l’éclairage à 90°. Et enfin à contre-jour. Pour toutes ces vues on fera aussi deux expositions de sécurité, en plus et moins ouvert d’un cran.
Choisissez ensuite la vue qui paraît la plus naturelle, puis étudiez les variations de saturation et de brillance amenées par les changements d’incidence de la lumière.
Notez le degré de contraste apporté par les éclairages latéraux et de contre-jour, comparés à l’image relativement “plate” que donne l’éclairage de face.
Le contraste est-il plus ou moins grand qu’il n’apparaît aux yeux ?
